Request for Proposals
As with all of our other disciplines, the Axiom Group philosophy towards writing Request for Proposal (RFP) documents is detail, detail and more detail. Only by defining every task required in the scope of the project can you be assured of having complete control over your project. Axiom Group absolutely does not leave any design requirement in the hands of the responding vendors. Doing so only leads to interpretation disputes and ultimately higher costs.
Axiom Group RFP documents are generally broken down into four main topics as follows:
- General Project Information
- Bidding Requirements
- General Provisions
- Scope of Project
General Project Information provides an introduction to the client, the relevant project personnel and the basic schedule of the project.
Bidding Requirements mines down deeper into exact schedules and time frames, exact expectations required of responding vendors and bidding rules. This includes providing pricing in very detailed format that specifies equipment, material and labor costs for every aspect of the project.
