Change Order Control
Through a rigidly defined Scope of Work and tight project control, the Axiom Group strategy is to minimize or eliminate change orders entirely. Vendor generated change orders are primarily due to poorly written specifications which create situations where scope of work items are left open to interpretation. Our specifications define all equipment, material and labor items down to the finest detail, thereby eliminating any confusion in the project scope.
In addition, Axiom Group requires vendors to provide pricing in a detailed format specific to each project. This means that any cost changes due to increases or decreases to the project scope, as generated by the customer, can be readily determined and controlled.
When change orders are required, a specific process is used. The requirements are understood and a scope revision is written to document need and project compliance. Any change request is carefully vetted and approvals are always secured from the customer in advance of any work authorization.
